I'm a fan of Hammer since I was a kid, but this song made the arrangement so boring. It repeats so much that I get bored quickly. Shouldn't something change towards the second half?

If I were to compare the TV ratings to the modern MPA this what I think: G: TV-Y Modern PG: TV-Y7 and TV-Y7 FV PG-13: TV-PG (sometimes) and TV-14 R: TV-14 (high-end) and TV-MA NC-17: Don’t know, maybe a hard TV-MA or even the 18+ rating use for some anime DVDs (like Redo of Heeler) Nowadays, modern PG feels like the TV-Y7 for movies and more equivalent to that rating than its TV counterpart TV-PG. Older PG feels more like a TV-PG and even a soft TV-14.

I was in an ancient Fife and Drum Corps. Best years of my life. I am now 70 years and can still play my Fife.

We now have a history on par with the old 18th century Europeans.

Those fifes are sticks with holes in them. The bugles have no valves! The drummers have memories like elephants as they are EXTREMELY difficult cadences to play…and stone faced at that. Saw them once perform live and I’m still shell shocked.

Here are the honest ratings (imo) TV-Y- most children under 6 will watch. TV-Y7(FV)- Most 7-11 will watch. TV-G- anyone can watch (including adults). TV-PG (low)- same audience as TV-Y7(FV) TV-PG (high)- fine by the time you’re 10/11. Most watched by preteens/teens. TV-14- fine by the time you’re 12. 14 is a bit harsh and TV-14 is often compared to PG13 for movies and T for video games so 12 is honestly fine nowadays. Even 11 is ok too. TV-MA- should be fine by the time you’re 14/15. Of course this depends on the type of show and person. But probably not anything they haven’t seen or heard before.
